Tonight

The ‘just married’ sign hangs above our bedroom door, like a threshold or a pit of water. Everything is tangled. I wipe off your stomach like it's mine. I save my showers for you. I purr into your mouth after I teach you how to roll your RRrRRRrrrrsss. I mistake a sigh for my name. We hold Hands. We fall asleep.
